Zeebo - Zeebo - Zeebo!

We hope you all have been enjoying our Wednesday night Zeebo dinners this season, prepared by our friends at “Detour Bar and Grille” restaurant. Rick and Venise have done a super job treating us to their delicious dinners and WHAT A BARGAIN! Where else can you get a full three course meal including dessert for $10 adults and $5 for kids?

We have two more Zeebo dinners coming up – Wednesday Sept 6th and Wednesday Oct 4th, 6-8:30pm, so mark your calendars so you don’t miss them. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbors too! It is a great way to introduce them to ISC and perhaps promote membership in the future.
You are encouraged to register on the ISC website so that we can help out Detour by letting them know how much food to prepare. Call Jean Smith if you have any questions, 317-319-1691.

Clubhouse Environment

The Clubhouse heating and cooling system that was installed in 2016 has thermostats that are programmable. Programming is done weekly, based upon scheduled events and seasonality. The programming, along with more efficient equipment AND new energy efficient windows have helped to noticeably reduce our utility bills. If you are in the Clubhouse and are not comfortable with the temperature and will be there for more than a few minutes, please contact me either by voice or text at 317-730-2548 and I can remotely change the setting for you.

Additionally, please do not prop open the outside doors of the Clubhouse. Doing so not only effects the air handling system but also provides an avenue for birds and other "critters" to invade the building that can lead to serious sanitation, cleaning, and structural issues.

If you have any questions or comments about these topics, please direct them to myself or House and Galley Chairperson, Deborah Brown.

Security of Club-Owned Power Boats

Earlier in the summer, steps were taken to protect our Safety and Race Committee boats. Ignition keys and radios are no longer left on board the boats when they are not in use. The radio on the large Committee boat stays on the boat because it's concealed. The keys and radios are kept in the Boats and Motors Barn, adjacent to the Safety Boat dock. The keys hang on a small hook board located next to the roller door, up high, on the left side as you look out. The radios for Safety 1 & 2 are located in their respective clear bags, along with first aid kits, flag sleeve, and mark inflation blower. The radios for Safety 3 and small Committee boat usually sits atop equipment stored on the back wall of the barn. Currently, the radios are not interchangeable. When you are done using the boats, please return the keys, radios, and any buoys to the Boats and Motors Barn. If you have any questions or comments please direct them to Boats and Motors Chairman Paul White or myself.
